THE MUSIC OF ENNIO MORRICONE
The music of maestro Ennio Morricone is iconic. With about 500 soundtracks for big cinema movies, from which 70 award winning movies, he is one of the most influential musicians of our time. That musical treasure is brilliantly performed bij the Ensemble Le Muse in an impressive tribute to the Italian music legend.
Beautifully performed soundtracks, supported by movie images and photo’s, and enriched with anecdotes and historical and biographical facts by conductor Andrea Albertini, create a magical atmosphere during the shows of this special Italian ensemble.
Ensemble Le Muse consists of a fully female orchestral line-up of instrumentalists that have earned their tracks at the famous band Rondò Veneziano. The orchestra is supported by vocalist Angelica Depaoli, who moves the souls of the audience with her voice and conjures emotional movie moments on the retina.
On the program are numerous famous soundtracks from the impressive oeuvre of Morricone. Ofcourse ‘The Hateful Eight’, with which he won an Oscar in 2016 at age 87, for the best original film music. Short after that Academy Award ‘The Music of Ennio Morricone’ experienced its debut; the start of a series of 30 sold out shows in Europe. Also classics from the movie repertoire of the Italian Western icon Sergio Leone are included, such as ‘For a few dollars more’. ‘The good, the bad and the ugly’ and the legendary ‘Once upon a time in the west’.
A tribute to a man with great talent, who gave musical inspiration to numerous movies with his epical soundtracks.
