The Fats Domino Tribute is a feast of recognition, an explosive musicspectacle full of fire, virtuosity and humor, with an overwhelming horn section. A tribute to the music of the legendary Fats Domino.
The show ‘Blueberry Hill’ is the logical sequal on the success of the show ‘Fats’.
Of course Fats Domino’s greatest hits such as ‘Blueberry Hill’, ‘I’m Ready’ and ‘Blue Monday’ will come by, supplemented with a substantial amount of new songs from Domino’s huge repertoire. Songs like ‘There Goes My Heart Again’, ‘Domino
Twist’ and ‘Whiskey Heaven’ make it impossible to sit still or avoid singing along.
The Fats Domino Tribute is headed by pianist/singer Eric-Jan Overbeek, also known as Mr. Boogie Woogie who was a 13-year old when he found himself in the grip of ‘the boogie-woogie’ after listening to Fats Domino’s ‘Swanee River Hop’.
Meanwhile, over 30 years later, he tours through America three months a year, received numerous national and international awards and in 2010 performed the opening act with his band on the 35th edition of the North Sea Jazzfestival.
