After getting off to a flying start in 2014 with lots of original work, Sweet Bourbon quickly became a regular feature on the Dutch club circuit. The five years that followed were a rollercoaster ride, with a debut album, live album, 2 singles, several music videos and numerous live shows at home and abroad. Sweet Bourbon have proved they’re here to stay.
After the debut album LIVE AT TRIANON in 2015 the surprising studio album ‘NIGHT TURNED INTO DAY’ appeared in august 2017, featuring a variety of songs written by the band. This reinforced Sweet Bourbon’s position as one of the top bands in the club circuit. Mixed rock, blues, jazz and soul influences give the band its strong southern-rock style. The band has received many positive reviews both at home and abroad.
Performing in a range of international clubs is a challenge the band relishes, time and again, and being on the road has become a natural part of life for Sweet Bourbon over the years. Inspired and motivated by the live shows, the band released their studio album in 2020 (BORN A REBEL) and an ep LIVE RECORDINGS in 2021. The fifth album SLIPPERY SLOPES was released in May 2022. It contains a live registration of a concert in the Bluesmoose series in Groesbeek. In addition to the band’s domestic and foreign shows, they have actively started writing new songs for a 6th album, which will be a studio version.
